With the theme “At the heart of Asian’s Foods Inspiration” Vietnam FoodExpo 2015 is believed to introduce overall view on dynamic development of Vietnam’s foodstuff industry; to promote the advantages, image, brands of Vietnamese producers and service providers; to offer more favorable approach to domestic and oversea markets by connecting with whole-sale, retails systems, potential importers, and investors. FoodExpo is also expected to trigger driving force for technology innovation, productivity and quality improvement, ensuring safety in production, processing and trading of agro-products, beverage and foods.

Being the first ever of this kind held in Vietnam, Vietnam FoodExpo 2015 is attracted by its good and profession organizing manner. So far, up to 300 businesses had registered for over 500 pavilions with space of 10,000m2 for products display from 36 provinces, municipals, and 19 countries and territories such as: India, Belgium, Cambodia, Cuba, Taiwan, the Netherlands, Korea, Indonesia, Italia, Laos, Mongolia, Myanmar, New Zealand, Japan, Czech, Singapore, Thailand, China. Such number of registration exceeds far beyond expectation.

Vietnam Foodexpo 2015 is expected to welcome 30,000 visitors, especially foreigners. A large number of business-delegations, potential buyers nationwide and oversea such as Korea, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Japan, Nigeria, Paraguay, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, China, ect... registered for visit and transaction at the Expo.

The products and sectors to be displayed and introduced in Food Expo are extensive, ranging from agro-products (fruits, vegetables, tea, pepper, coffee, cashew-nut...), materials and processed seafood; processed foods and beverage (cookies, candies, butter, milk, caned fruits and instant foods, additives and species, beverage, functional foods...); machineries, equipment, food processing technologies, preservation technology, packing, safe and sanitary technology...

Food Expo is a converge for leading producers of food from Vietnam including 07 businesses awarded with Vietnam Value 2014 such as Antesco, Cozy, Habeco, Hapro, Sabeco, Tan Hiep Phat and Thach Bich. The presence of the businesses with hundreds of locally and internationally well- known brands is expected to uphold event’s position, quality and meaning.

Food processing technology pavilion (Foodtech) is an important focus where various equipment and technologies are on display for visitors’ exchanging and selection to improve their competitiveness.

Impressed attention is given to Honorable National space which is designed specially with products, nutritious and functional foods from Korean companies featured by typical characteristics of Kimchi’s homeland. Local pavilion of Lam Dong province under the theme: “Da Lat – City of vegetables and fruits” is expected to bring the message “Nature – Fresh – Healthy” to the visitors.

The second International Foodstuff Industry Conference, a striking side-line event, was held on May 14, 2015 to define solutions to improve value, competitiveness, and connectivity to global distribution system, to promote market access for Vietnamese food-products. The event is also believed to be a platform for Vietnamese and foreign policy-makers, investors, and businesses in the industry to meet and to bridge for business cooperation and investment.

In event’s framework, Sai Gon International Cooking Contest is promised to be an exciting event for elite cooks and cuisine lovers to honor well-known cuisine quintessence of Vietnam and other regions over the world.

At the same time, series of other events including symposiums between Vietnam and foreign businesses, contract signing ceremonies, cuisine show, awards presentation for innovative and creative products, beauty pavilion prize, Miss Foodexpo 2015 title, field trips to factories...are organized to update information on market, products, service, offering opportunities for trade promotion and investment expansion.

Close coordination between relevant Ministries/authorities such as Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Ministry of Health, Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality of Vietnam with active involvement of Commercial Sections in oversea, effective collaboration of Vietnamese Embassies, trade promotion organizations including KOTRA, JETRO, AKC, ATPF, CBI, TAITRA, ITC... branches and provincial trade promotion centers has been pooled to Vietnam Foodexpo 2015.
